(Tempe, AZ) To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Sun Devil Volleyball, the first two home games on September 21 against Arizona and September 24 against Washington will be held in Mullett Arena, with the latter match inviting former volleyball student-athletes to attend to honor the anniversary.
The 50th anniversary celebration for alumni in town that weekend will also feature a lunch on September 23 and an outing to the Sun Devil Football game against USC that night. The home opener against in-state rival Arizona on September 21 will be the first ever volleyball match in Mullett Arena, which opened in fall of 2022. Last season, the Sun Devils and the Wildcats split the regular season, with both teams winning at home.
On Sunday, September 24, the match against Washington will see numerous 50th-anniversary celebrations, including welcoming the alumni that are present. In 2022, ASU upset Washington in Seattle and came up short in Tempe.
