Sophomore Joel Gardner (Ironwood Ridge HS) took third place in the 1,500-meter race and set a new Pima career-best with a time of 3:52.43. His previous-best of 3:54.23 was set at the ACCAC Conference Championships.

Freshman Abraham Valenzuela (Palo Verde HS) also set a new Pima career-record in the 1,500-meters with a time of 3:56.85. His previous qualifier was set at 3:59.60.

Sophomore Trey Tintinger placed third in the High Jump as he improved on his national qualifier with a jump of 2.10 meters (6-feet, 10.75-inches). His previous-best for the Outdoor Season was 2.07 meters (6-9.5). His Pima career-best is 2.11 meters (6-11).

Sophomore Nathan Jones (Show Low HS) took fourth place in the Shot Put and threw a personal-record and Pima career-best of 15.13 meters (49-7.75).

In women’s competition, freshman Brooke Peterson (Mingus HS) placed fifth in the Pole Vault (first among ACCAC competitors) as she set a new personal Pima-best vault of 3.76 meters (12-4). Her previous qualifier for the Outdoor Season was set at 3.68 meters (12-0.75) and her previous Pima career record was 3.75 meters (12-3.50).
