Golf Finishes Play at The Primm Battle

(Nipton, CA)  The Park University Gilbert men’s and women’s golf team finished play in The Primm Battle golf tournament in this afternoon The men’s team completed play where they started in 11th place. The women did not post a team score as only three players participated and you need four to register a team score.

The Bucs shot a final round 307 to finish with a three-round score of 921.

Noah Blaickner once again shot the best round of the day for the Buccaneers with a four-over 75. He had two birdies on holes 2 and 3 today after posting eight birds yesterday in two rounds. Blaickner finished in 29th place with a three-round score of 222 on the par=71 course. Josh Smith rebounded to post a five-over 76 today with two birdies. Both Gunnar Hurtand Max Callerman posted seven-over 78.

On the ladies side Taylor Gransen shot 87 in her final round while Grace Soto slashed six strokes off her round one score to shoot 90 and Sammie Quilter knocked off a pair of strokes to shoot 98 today.

The Buccaneers now return to Arizona for the final tune up ahead of the Cal Pac Championships as they travel to Prescott, Ariz., for the Embry Riddle Invitational next week on March 27-28. This will be a good tune up for the teams as they prepare for the conference championships. The 2021 Cal Pac Championships were held at Embry Riddle on the Antelope Hills North Course.
