Beach Volleyball Drops to DII Colorado Mesa

(Mesa, AZ)  After a weekend full of home matches, the beach volleyball team at Park University Gilbert experienced their second sweep, this time from Division II Colorado Mesa University.

The Mavericks of Colorado Mesa University are defending NCAA DII National Champions following their 16-10 2022 season and 5-1 tournament record.

Annika Wallace and Megan Hicks struggled on court one against CMUs Holly Schmidt and Macie Lachemann, dropping both matches 21-14 and 21-13 respectively. On court two, Georgia Romine-Black and Grace Baker took their opponents to two sets, dropping the first 21-15 and the second 21-10. The Mavs continued their streak with more sweeps on courts three, four, and five.

The Buccaneers return to Bell Bank Park to host Mesa Community College and Trinidad State College on March 20 at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. respectively.
