(Tucson, AZ) The Pima Community College men’s soccer team (6-0-1, 3-0-1 in ACCAC) got back in the win column on Tuesday after its match at Glendale Community College (3-5-1, 1-2-1).
The No. 1 ranked Aztecs bounced back with their fourth shutout victory of the season upending the Gauchos 2-0. The Aztecs had their five-game winning streak snapped last Saturday after tying with Phoenix College.
Sophomore Ernesto Osornio (Ironwood HS) scored two goals; both in the first half. He put the Aztecs on the board with a free kick goal in the 35th minute. He netted his second goal in the 40th minute with an assist from sophomore Andres Gutierrez-Rembao (San Miguel HS).
The Aztecs and the Gauchos each had four shots on goal for the game. Freshman Cristian Sattin finished with four saves.
The Aztecs will be back on the road on Saturday when they play at Mesa Community College. Kick off is set for 5:30 p.m.
