Delaney Buntin has hat trick, Scott and Bonner each net two as Women’s Soccer trounces South Mountain CC

(Tucson, AZ)  The Pima Community College women’s soccer team (5-0, 2-0 in ACCAC) scored a season-high seven goals on Tuesday in its victory at South Mountain Community College (1-4, 0-2).

The No. 1 ranked Aztecs downed the Cougars 7-0 to remain undefeated and continue their streak of no goals allowed.

Sophomore Delaney Buntin (Cienega HS) had a hat trick as she scored goals in the 19th, 20th and 71st minutes.

Freshman Meredith Scott (Walden Grove HS) found the back of the net on back-to-back occasions scoring in the 50th and 52nd minutes to make it 4-0.

Sophomore Riley Bonner (Cienega HS) helped seal the win after netting two straight goals in the 77th and 85th minutes.

Sophomore Nayeli Vidal (Sahuaro HS) had two assists for the game while freshman Kyleigh Oliver (Salpointe Catholic HS), Juliana Valdez (Tucson Magnet HS) and sophomore Alexus Mendez (Tucson Magnet HS) each contributed with an assist.

The Aztecs held the Cougars to no shots on goal for the game. Freshman Adriana Pacheco (Cienega HS) was at the net and had no saves.

The Aztecs will return to the West Campus Aztec Field on Saturday when they host No. 2 ranked Phoenix College. The teams are on the pitch at 7:00 p.m.
