Henely, Krueger and Shero shoot under-par as Aztecs Men’s Golf closes third round at NJCAA Championships

(Tucson, AZ)  The Pima Community College men’s golf team continues to move up the team and individual standings after Thursday’s round at the NJCAA Division I National Championships.

The Aztecs shot a tournament-best 3-under par 285 as they sit tied for 14th place in the team standings with a three-day total of 893 (308-300-285).

Freshmen Daniel Henely (Cienega HS), Max Krueger (Salpointe Catholic HS) and Jay Shero all shot 2-under par on the day.

Henely moved into a tie for 15th place in the individual standings as he finished with a 70 on the day and has a three-day total of 218 (75-73-70).

Krueger also closed out his day with a 70 and is now tied for 23rd place with a score of 220 (76-74-70).

Shero also shot a national tournament-best 70 as he is now tied for 55th place with a 224 (78-76-70).

Freshman AJ Quihuis (Salpointe Catholic HS) rounded out the top four scores for the Aztecs as he shot a 3-over par 75. Freshman Tommy Rosenvall finished the day with an 81 and has a total of 237 (79-77-81).

The Aztecs close out the NJCAA Division I National Championships at the Odessa Country Club on Friday. They begin to tee off at 10:00 a.m. (CDT).
