Aztecs Women’s Golfers Maria Harrouch and Angelica Martinez tee off at NJCAA Division I National Championships

(Tucson, AZ)  Pima Community College women’s golfers Maria Harrouch and Angelica Martinez (Tucson Magnet HS) completed the first day of play at the NJCAA Division I National Championships on Monday in Sanford, FL.

Harrouch, a freshman, shot a 4-over par 76 on the day and sits tied for fifth place in the individual standings. She is five shots off from the leader Minori Nagano (71) from Seminole State (FL).

Martinez, a freshman, closed out her day shooting a 92. She is tied for 68th in the standings.

The Aztecs continue play at the Mayfair Golf Course till Thursday. Harrouch tees off at 10:02 a.m. ET on Tuesday and Martinez will begin her second round at 10:11 a.m. ET.
