First Baseman Jose Enriquez named ACCAC Division I Player of the Week

(Tucson, AZ). Pima Community College baseball player Jose Enriquez (Socorro HS, TX) was a big part of the Aztecs earning its first ACCAC conference sweep last week and was rewarded for his efforts on Tuesday by the ACCAC Conference.

Enriquez, a sophomore first baseman, was named ACCAC Division I Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 28-March 6.

He helped the Aztecs go 3-1; which included a sweep at Eastern Arizona College on Saturday. Enriquez went 6 for 12 (.500) with six RBIs, three walks, two runs, a home run, a double and a stolen bases.

Enriquez is batting .329 with 85 at-bats, 28 hits, 26 RBIs, 12 runs, five doubles, one homer, seven walks and three stolen bases in all 26 games so far this season.

The Aztecs play an ACCAC doubleheader on the road today at Paradise Valley Community College. First pitch is at noon.
