Aydalis Felix named ACCAC Libero of the Year; Soto and Moseley selected All-ACCAC

(Tucson, AZ)  The Pima Community College volleyball team had three players represented in the All-ACCAC selections that were released on Saturday.

Sophomore Aydalis Felix (Rincon HS) was named the ACCAC Libero of the Year. She is the first Pima libero to have this honor in coach Dan Bithell’s 21 years as head coach. She was also named second team All-ACCAC and added to the NJCAA Region I, Division II team.
Felix played in 23 matches and 81 sets finishing the regular season with 340 digs (4.20 per set). She also had 104 assists and 19 aces.

Sophomore Setter Karla Soto (Nogales HS) was selected Honorable Mention All-ACCAC. She led the Aztecs with 483 assists (5.62 per set) in 23 matches and 86 sets played. She also had 220 digs (2.56 per set), 50 aces (led the ACCAC at 0.58 per set), and 32 kills.

Sophomore Opposite Hitter Kaylee Moseley (Marana HS) was also named Honorable Mention All-ACCAC. She produced 199 kills (2.31 per set) in 24 matches and 86 sets played. She had 593 total attacks, 109 digs (1.27 per set), 52 total blocks (0.60 per set) and 229.5 points.

The Aztecs will be the No. 4 seed at the NJCAA Region I, Division II Tournament. All matches for the double elimination tournament will be played at Chandler-Gilbert Community College. The Aztecs will play No. 1 Chandler-Gilbert on Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
