(Tucson, AZ) The Pima Community College men’s soccer team (8-0, 2-0 in ACCAC) remained undefeated after Tuesday’s ACCAC conference match against Glendale Community College (3-5, 2-2) at the West Campus Aztec Soccer Field.
The No. 1 ranked Aztecs defeated the Gauchos 3-0 earning their sixth shutout win of the season. The Aztecs have outscored their opponents this season 45-2 up to this point.
Freshman Jacob Garcia (Walden Grove HS) assisted in the first two goals. He found sophomore Francisco Manzo (Salpointe Catholic HS) on a cross-pass for the goal in the 8thminute.
Garcia distributed another cross-pass to sophomore Ulysses Torres (Sunnyside HS) for the goal to make it 2-0 in the 28th minute.
Sophomore Manuel Quiroz (Sunny8side HS) added another insurance goal with his penalty kick goal in the 44th minute.
The Aztecs finished with 12 shots on goal. Sophomore Juan Suarez (Desert View HS) finished with four saves.
The Aztecs will be back at the West Campus Aztec Soccer Field on Saturday when they host Mesa Community College at 7:00 p.m.
