Hutchison takes sixth place as Aztecs women’s golf claim second in team standings

(Tucson, AZ). The Pima Community College women’s golf team took second place for the fourth straight tournament on Tuesday as the Aztecs completed play in the South Mountain Invitational on Tuesday in Phoenix.

The Aztecs finished with their best collective score of the season as they shot a two-day total of 757 (380-377). Mesa Community College claimed third place with 802 (395-407) and Chandler-Gilbert Community College earned first place with 712 (358-354).

Freshman Katelyn Hutchison (Cienega HS) shot a season-best 181 (93-88) as she took sixth place in the final individual standings.

Sophomore Elizabeth Satterfield (Ironwood Ridge HS) finished seventh in the standings with a two-day score of 184 (92-92). Sophomore Clara Solano (Tucson HS) rounded out the top 10 as she shot a 191 (94-97). Sophomore Julienne Gonzalez (Ironwood Ridge HS) shot a 201 (101-100).

The Aztecs will host the Pima Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, Apr. 1-2 at The Views Golf Course in Oro Valley, AZ. Teams will begin to tee off at 12:30 p.m.
