Aztecs women’s golf take second place at Scottsdale CC Invitational

(Tucson, AZ)  The Pima Community College women’s golf team earned second place in the final team standings for the third straight tournament on Tuesday at the Scottsdale Community College Invitational.

The Aztecs finished with a total of 773 (382-392). Chandler-Gilbert Community College took first place with 714 (362-352).

Sophomore Elizabeth Satterfield (Ironwood Ridge HS) had the best two-round total for the Aztecs as she shot a 188 (94-94) and finished seventh in the individual standings.

Freshman Katelyn Hutchison (Cienega HS) took eighth place with a total of 190 (92-98) and Julienne Gonzalez (Ironwood Ridge HS) placed ninth with a 191 (96-95). Sophomore Clara Solano (Tucson HS) finished 14th with a 204 (100-104).

The Aztecs will play in the South Mountain CC Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, Mar. 18-19 at the Aguila Golf Course in Laveen, AZ. Teams will begin to tee off at 11:00 p.m.
