Lainey Burdett Named Pac-12 Goalkeeper of the Week

(TUCSON, AZ)  Lainey Burdett was named Pac-12 Goalkeeper of the Week on Tuesday for her performance this past weekend against Washington and No. 22 Washington State. This is Burdett’s second-career Pac-12 Goalkeeper of the Week honor and is the first Wildcat to earn a Pac-12 Player of the Week honor in 2018.

 

Burdett only allowed one goal and made five saves this weekend, which brings her shutout total to six, which is second in the Pac-12. It was also her 22nd-career clean sheet, which is the most in Arizona history.

On the season, Burdett has a goals against average of 0.89, a save percentage of .795 and has made a total of 58 saves. In the Pac-12, she ranks fifth in goals against average (min. 10 games played), sixth in save percentage (min. 10 games played) and has made the fourth-most saves in the league.

Next Up, Burdett and the Wildcats will face Oregon State on Thursday October 25th, at 7 p.m. MST in Corvallis, Ore
