(Tucson, AZ) The Pima Community College volleyball team (2-3, 1-0 in ACCAC) opened ACCAC conference play on Wednesday at Phoenix College and earned a strong victory.
The Aztecs beat the Bears in straight sets 26-24, 25-21, 25-19.
Freshman Jade Romine (Canyon del Oro HS) finished the match with eight kills and two aces while freshman Kendall Deeter (Mountain View HS) posted eight kills and three blocks. Freshman Madi Nash (Sahuaro HS) had six kills, 12 digs and four aces.
The Aztecs will host their home opener on Friday at the West Campus Aztec Gymnasium against No. 5 ranked Mesa Community College. The first serve will be at 7:00 p.m.
