Tucson, AZ – The Pima Community College men’s soccer team (0-1, 0-1 in ACCAC) played extra time in its 2018 season opener on Thursday at Arizona Western College.
The Aztecs fell 1-0 to the Matadors after Yerry Mendez scored the golden goal in the 95thminute.

The Aztecs and the Matadors each had five shots on goal. Pima freshman goalkeeper Nils Roth finished the game with four saves.
The Aztecs will host their home opener on Saturday against Chandler-Gilbert Community College at Kino North Stadium. Game time is set for 4:30 p.m.
