Cueva-Schraidt shoots a 71 in the third round at NJCAA Nationals

Tucson, AZ – The Pima Community College men’s golf team closed out the third round of play on Thursday at the NJCAA Division I National Championship.

The Aztecs sit in 18th place out of 21 teams as they finished with a 307. They have a three-day total of 924 (304-313-307).

Freshman Diego Cueva-Schraidt (Sabino HS) had the best individual round of the tournament for the Aztecs as he shot a 1-under par 71. He is tied for 70th in the individual standings with a 230 (78-81-71).

Sophomore Cooper Cordova (Mountain View HS) shot an 80 in his round and has a score of 231 (73-78-80).

Fellow sophomore Bobby Padilla (Catalina Foothills HS) produced his best round of the tournament as he shot a 4-over par 76. He has a total of 232 (77-79-76).

Sophomore Johnny Fiore (Marana HS) has a three-day score of 235 (76-78-81) while freshman Trevor Gregoire (Canyon del Oro HS) is at 238 (80-78-80).

The Aztecs close out the 2018 season on Friday in the final round of the NJCAA Division I National Championship at the Rawls Golf Course in Lubbock, TX.
