Aztecs Men’s Golf Competes at South Mountain Invitational

(Tucson, AZ)  The Pima Community College men’s golf team closed out its fourth tournament of the season on Tuesday at the Legacy Golf Course in Phoenix.

Sophomore Connor Wierman (Ironwood Ridge HS) tied for 23rd place in the individual standings as he shot a 3-over par 74 in his second round as he finished with a two-day total of 149 (75-74).

Freshman Andrew Rivas (Canyon del Oro HS) had a 6-stroke improvement in his final round of play. He shot a 76 in Tuesday’s round and closed out the tournament with a 158 (82-76).

Sophomore Jackson Williams (Ironwood Ridge HS) shot a two-round total of 190 (95-95).

The Aztecs will play in their final regular season tournament on Monday and Tuesday, April 19-20. The Paradise Valley Invitational will be held at the Gainey Ranch Golf Course in Scottsdale.
