(Tucson, AZ) Pima Community College will hold an information session at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9, 2019, regarding potential restructuring of the Athletics program. The meeting will take place at the District Office, 4905 E. Broadway Blvd, Building C, Room 105.
Since 2017, the College has examined each of its athletics programs with consideration to long-term sustainability, league viability and operational costs.
Pima has been able to make upgrades to baseball and softball fields and is renovating the soccer facilities, allowing soccer to return to the West Campus next year, but is still working to bring athletics into alignment with fiscal realities facing the college.
Athletics Director Jim Monaco will walk participants through the decision making process and the anticipated future of Pima Athletics and open the meeting to questions and comments.
