(Tucson, AZ) The Pima Community College men’s soccer team (2-0-1) earned a shutout win on Thursday against GateWay Community College (0-4).
The No. 3 ranked Aztecs took an early lead and scored three goals in the second half to beat the Geckos 5-0.
Freshman Josh Allison (Corona del Sol HS) scored two goals in the first half. He scored on a penalty kick in the 7th minute and again in the 34th with an assist by Hyeonsang Jang.
Allison had the assist in freshman Estevan Manzo’s (Salpointe Catholic HS) goal in the 78th minute. Manzo assisted in Hakon Reitan’s goal in the 73rd minute.
The Aztecs finished with 10 shots on goal for the game. Sophomore goalkeeper Nils Roth finished with four saves.
The Aztecs return to Kino North Stadium on Saturday when they host South Mountain Community College at 7:00 p.m.
