(Roswell, NM) The Pima Community College volleyball team (2-2) came away with an even record after Friday and Saturday’s competition at the NMMI Classic in Roswell, NM.
The Aztecs, who play in NJCAA Division II, faced off against four Division I teams.
In Saturday’s competition, the Aztecs tied the match at 1-1 but fell to host school New Mexico Military Institute in four sets 25-13, 27-29, 25-19, 25-14). They bounced back and won a tie-breaker to beat New Mexico Junior College 16-25, 25-22, 25-15, 22-25, 15-10.
In Friday’s match-ups, the Aztecs lost to Odessa College in straight sets 25-15, 25-21, 25-12. Pima earned a straight set victory of their own defeating Hutchinson Community College 27-25, 25-21, 25-23.
The Aztecs will open ACCAC conference play on Wednesday when they host Phoenix College at the West Campus Aztec Gymnasium. Match starts at 7:00 p.m.
