Tucson, AZ – Pima Community College men’s basketball player Isaiah Murphy (Cienega HS) earned the first conference of the season on Monday.
Murphy, a sophomore guard, was selected ACCAC Division II Player of the Week.
He had a stellar week as the Aztecs went 2-0. Murphy averaged 24.0 points as he shot 72 percent from the field and also averaged 3.5 rebounds, four assists and 4.5 steals.
The Aztecs averaged 119.5 points in their first two games. They also won their games by an average of 30 points.
The Aztecs will host Grand Canyon University on Saturday in a non-conference game at the West Campus Gymnasium. Tipoff is set for 2:00 p.m.
