(Tucson, AZ) The Pima Community College baseball player Rafael Padilla (Nogales HS) earned his first nod as ACCAC Division I Player of the Week on Monday for the week of Mar. 4-10.
Padilla, a sophomore outfielder, was a bright spot for the Aztecs on offense as he went 6 for 12 (.500) with two RBIs, two runs scored and two walks against fellow ACCAC Division I opponents Central Arizona College and Yavapai College.
He was 4 for 5 in Saturday’s doubleheader against the Roughriders. The Aztecs went 1-3 for the week.
The Aztecs step away from ACCAC conference play this week as they play three games against Western Oklahoma State College. They’ll face off in a doubleheader on Saturday starting at noon and play a single game on Sunday at 11:00 a.m.
