(Tucson, AZ) Pima Community College men’s basketball player Abram Carrasco (Cholla HS) was selected ACCAC Division II Player of the Week for the week of Jan. 28-Feb. 3.
Carrasco, a sophomore guard, averaged 29.5 points, 8.0 rebounds and 5.5 assists as the Aztecs went 2-0 with home wins over Arizona Western College and Central Arizona College. He went 5 for 11 from three-point range and shot 60 percent from the field.
Carrasco also inched closer to Isaiah Murphy’s (Cienega HS) career point total of 1,109. He sits at 1,075.
He was named ACCAC Division II Player of the Week for Jan. 7-13.
Carrasco is averaging 20.5 points, 4.9 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 1.1 steals on the season.
The No. 11 ranked Aztecs hit the road tonight as they play at No. 15 Scottsdale Community College. Tipoff is at 7:30 p.m.
