Women’s Hoops Welcomes UCLA to McKale on Sunday

(TUCSON, AZ)  Coming off a hard-fought victory over USC on Friday night, the Arizona Wildcats (14-5, 4-4 Pac-12) will have a quick turnaround and will face off against the UCLA Bruins (10-9, 3-4 Pac-12) on Sunday afternoon in McKale Center at 2 p.m. MST. Sunday’s game will be live streamed on ArizonaWildcats.com.

Arizona put a stop on their three-game losing streak on Friday night after holding on to defeat USC in McKale Center and now will look to snap an 11-game losing streak vs. UCLA on Sunday.

The Wildcats won their third game this season that was decided by five or fewer points on Friday night and are 3-0 against Pac-12 teams in games decided by five or fewer.

Arizona is going for their first sweep of the L.A. schools since the 2004-05 season.

Tee Tee Starks made her first start of the season and her first overall since Jan. 11, 2017 while at Iowa State. She posted career-highs in points (13), three-pointers (4) and minutes (36).

Aari McDonald was named to the Wooden Award Midseason Top 25 on Jan. 9 and is the first player in school history to make the list since Shawntinice Polk (2003-04).

McDonald, the nation’s third-leading scorer, and has scored at least 15 points in all 19 games this season, making her the first Wildcat to do so.

Cate Reese was named Pac-12 Freshman of the Week for the second time this season on Monday. Reese is the first player in school history to win one, let alone two Pac-12 Freshman of the Week awards.

McDonald is the first player since Adia Barnes (97-98) to score 30 points in five games in one season.
