(Tucson, AZ) The Pima Community College women’s basketball team (11-9, 7-5 in ACCAC) had its five-game winning streak snapped in Douglas on Wednesday.
The No. 15 ranked Aztecs (Division II) fell to No. 21 Cochise College (Division I) 92-42. The Aztecs were held to 19 points in the second half.
The Aztecs were swept in the regular season by the Apaches (17-3, 11-1). They lost 99-67 in November at the West Campus Gym.
Sophomore Jacqulynn Nakai (Coconino HS) was not available for Wednesday’s contest. She is probable for Saturday’s game at Eastern Arizona College. Nakai remains at 984 points in her Pima career.
The Aztecs will be back on the road on Saturday when they play Eastern Arizona College (Division I) in Thatcher. Tipoff is at 5:30 p.m.
