(Glendale, AZ) The National Champion Arizona Rattlers have added three more defensive backs to the 2027 roster, continuing to build the competition for jobs on the league’s best defense from 2026.
Tyson Durant, 5-10, 180 pounds, defensive back
Durant, will be a rookie in 2027 and had four years as a solid contributor on defenses at Akron and Washington St. He played in 39 games at Akron from 2020-2023 and tallied 98 tackles, five interceptions and 19 pass breakups. Three of those interceptions came in a stellar 2022 season where he recorded 39 tackles and had a 76-yard interception return for a touchdown.
In his final year of eligibility at Washington St., Durant played in all 13 games, starting nine, and recorded 50 tackles with two interceptions and seven pass breakups.
He is from Copley, Ohio, and attended Canton McKinley High School.
Angelo Grose, 6-foot, 185 pounds, defensive back
Grose started 45 of 52 games in a five-year career from 2020-2024 at Michigan St. where he amassed 281 tackles, 11½ tackles for loss, four interceptions and 20 pass breakups.
He spent the 2025 season with the Oregon Lightning of the Arena Football One (AF1) league and then played two games with the Vegas Knight Hawks of the Indoor Football League last season.
He is from Mansfield, Ohio, and attended Mansfield Senior High School.
Devin Pringle, 5-10, 185 pounds, defensive back
Pringle started 12 games for UConn during the 2025 season where he compiled 45 tackles, four for loss with four pass breakups and an interception. Prior to his time at UConn, he played four seasons at Grand Valley St. where he played in 38 games. He was named an NCAA Division II First-Team All-American in 2024.
After college, Pringle was invited to the Chicago Bears 2026 rookie minicamp and was waived before the season began.
He is from Bolingbrook, Ill., and attended Bolinbrook High School.
