(Tucson, AZ) The Pima Community College men’s track & field team received some individual awards while head coach Chad Harrison took home honors from the ACCAC Conference/Region I, representing both the men’s and women’s programs.
Sophomore Cedric Cade (Palo Verde HS, NV) was selected the ACCAC/Region I Field Athlete of the Year.
Cade, a Multi’s athlete, broke the Pima school record in the Heptathlon with a total of 5369 points on Feb. 24. He earned two 1st place finishes in the Heptathlon during the Indoor Season and one 1st place finish in the Decathlon during the Outdoor Season.
He was the Region I Champion in the Decathlon and earned two NJCAA All-American medals taking sixth place in the Heptathlon at Indoor Nationals and third in the Decathlon at Outdoor Nationals.
Cade closed out his Pima career as a four-time NJCAA All-American and a two-time Region I Champion. He has committed to the University of Missouri.
Sophomore Taylor Brown (Centennial HS, NV) was named Co-Track Athlete of the Year along with Glendale Community College’s Cole Carpenter and Central Arizona College’s Richard Hall.
Brown owns the Pima school records in the 200-meter (20.94) and the 400-meter (45.91) races. He was the Region I Champion in the 200- and 400-meter races, earned two ACCAC Athlete of the Week selections and was the ACCAC Conference Champion in the 400-meters. Brown has committed to Arizona State University.
Head Coach Chad Harrison was named the Men’s and Women’s Track & Field ACCAC/Region I Coach of the Year. He was named the Men’s Coach of the Year in 2024 and the Women’s Coach of the Year in 2025.
Harrison led the Aztecs to two ACCAC Conference Team Championships and two Region I Team Championships.
The men’s team earned their fourth straight Region I Team Championship and fifth title in six years. They produced nine NJCAA All-Americans between the Indoor and Outdoor Seasons.
The women’s team captured their second straight crown and third in six years. They produced one NJCAA Indoor National Champion (Kymia Bridgett – Triple Jump) and six NJCAA All-Americans overall.
