(Tucson, AZ) The Pima Community College men’s basketball team (2-0) opened its portion of the Aztec Classic on Thursday with a 51-point victory.
The No. 1 ranked Aztecs defeated Grand Canyon University Club 117-66.
Sophomore Kennedy Koehler and freshman Rashad Smith (Hamilton HS) could not contain as they each posted double-doubles. Koehler finished with 23 points and 12 rebounds while Smith went for 11 points and 11 assists.
Freshman Deondre Eason (Tucson HS) contributed with 18 points and sophomore Robert Wilson (Salpointe Catholic HS) had 14 points and nine rebounds.
The Aztecs will be right back at the West Campus Aztec Gymnasium on Friday when they host Golden State Prep at 6:00 p.m.
