(Mexicali, BC) The Mexicali Eagles secured the series at home with an 8-0 victory over Tucson in the penultimate series of the first half of the ARCO Mexican Pacific League season.
The deadlock wasn’t broken until the fourth inning, when Mexicali scored the first run of the game on a single by Bobby Bradley. Alejandro Flores drove in the second run with a sacrifice fly, and Julián León singled home Bobby Bradley with the third run of the inning.

In the top of the sixth, the scoreboard moved again, increasing Mexicali’s lead over Tucson. After a sacrifice bunt by Moisés Gutiérrez, Bobby Bradley scored on a throwing error by catcher Alexis Wilson. Julián León singled to drive in another run, and Ren Tachioka followed with a double to bring Mexicali up 6-0.
In the top of the eighth, Yadir Drake hit an RBI double, scoring Moisés Gutiérrez and Ren Tachioka for the final score of 8-0. Jorge Sauceda (0-4) took the loss, his fourth of the season, while David Reyes (3-2) earned the win.
Tucson travels to Hermosillo to face the Naranjeros in the final series of the first half of the regular season.
