(Tucson, AZ). Pima Community College women’s basketball player Reigne Waugh (Westchester HS, CA) had a stellar week at the SC4 Thumbcoast Tip-Off Tournament in Michigan last week and her efforts garnered her recognition from the ACCAC conference.
Waugh, a freshman guard, was selected ACCAC Division II Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 9-15.
She averaged 12.3 points, 10.3 rebounds, 1.7 steals, shot 38 percent from the field and 69.2 percent from the free throw line as the Aztecs went 2-1 and took third place at the tournament.
Waugh posted two double-doubles as well finishing with 16 points and 12 rebounds against Jackson College and 10 points and 11 rebounds against SUNY Niagara.
Waugh has played and started in all five games this season averaging 12.0 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game.
The Aztecs defeated Yavapai College 109-40 on Wednesday in their home opener at the West Campus Aztec Gymnasium. They will return to the home gym on Friday when they take on Cuyamaca College at 2:00 p.m.
