(Tucson, AZ) The Pima Community College men’s basketball team (3-0) produced five players in double figures and two players with double-doubles as it closed out the second day of the Aztec Classic on Friday.
The No. 1 ranked Aztecs beat Golden State Prep 95-87.
Sophomore Abram Carrasco (Cholla HS) led the way with 19 points and five assists.
Sophomores Robert Wilson (Salpointe Catholic HS) and Kennedy Koehler had double-doubles in points and rebounds. Wilson finished with 14 points and 17 rebounds while Koehler posted 15 points and 14 rebounds.
Sophomore Davonte Eason (Tucson HS) finished the game a rebound short of a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds. Freshman Rashad Smith (Hamilton HS) contributed with 11 points, six rebounds and six assists.
The Aztecs will close out play in the Aztec Classic on Saturday when they host No. 7 Odessa College (Division I). Tipoff is at noon.
