(Zapopan, Jalisco) The entire series stayed in Zapopan, as they defeated Tucson 5-1 tonight in the final game of the series, held at Pan American Stadium.
Outfielder River Town debuted with a home run in the bottom of the first inning, sending it over the right-field fence to quickly put Tucson up 1-0 at the start of the game.
Benjamin Gil’s team responded and scored two runs on a multi-RBI single by Mateo Gil.

In the fourth inning, Arturo Rodríguez hit a home run off starter Daniel de la Fuente, driving in Mateo Gil and Julián Ornelas to increase the lead to 5-1 over Tucson. Tucson threatened in the ninth inning, loading the bases with two outs, but the threat couldn’t materialize, as the final out was recorded for the Arizona team.
The winning pitcher was Luis Rodríguez, who pitched 5 2/3 innings, while the losing pitcher was Daniel de la Fuente, who allowed all 5 runs in 3 1/3 innings.
