(Tucson, AZ) Pima Community College women’s soccer player Ava Dagnino (Salpointe Catholic HS) produced another solid week for the Aztecs as her game play was noticed at the national level.
Dagnino, a freshman forward, was selected NJCAA and ACCAC Division II Player of the Week for Oct. 5-11. The Aztecs went 2-0-1 with wins over Chandler-Gilbert and GateWay Community College and rallied to earn a tie with Cochise College (Division I).
Dagnino scored four goals and had one assist. She scored two goals each in their games with the Apaches and Geckos.
She has played in 13 games; making 11 starts with nine goals, five assists and 23 points.
The Aztecs will be on the road for their next two games. They play at Glendale Community College today at 4:45 p.m.
