(Tucson, AZ) The firsts continue to pile on for the Pima Community College men’s soccer team as the seedings and groupings were announced for the NJCAA Division I Tournament on Wednesday.
The Aztecs will be the No. 1 seed for the first time in program history as the tournament begins on Monday in Daytona, FL.
The Aztecs will be in Pool A and play No. 12 seed Muskegon Community College (MI) on Monday and No. 8 seed Northeast Texas Community College on Wednesday. Both games will be at 9:30 a.m. (ET). The winner of the group will head to the semifinal round on Friday.
“It’s a credit to an incredible season and the guys have done really well at this point,” Pima coach David Cosgrove said. “It’s a great honor for the program but there’s still a lot of work to be done. Now we have to go out there and play well.”
