(Aliso Viejo, CA) The Great Southwest Athletic Conference announced the results of the 2025 men’s soccer preseason poll, projecting a top-four finish for the Park University Gilbert Buccaneers.
Head coach Jonas Tanzer and the Bucs are coming off a solid 2024 campaign that nearly led to a postseason berth, in the team’s inaugural season as members of the GSAC. Park-Gilbert went .500 on the year, posting a 7-7-4 overall record along with a 5-5-4 record in conference play.
The Buccaneers return plenty of key players from last season, including All-Conference senior Havard Brynie and defending GSAC Freshman of the Year Noah Yalu. Transfers Caden Dosmann and Monty Almaliky are also poised to take on big roles in 2025.
With the GSAC’s recent expansion to 10 schools, each coach voted on how the standings would look by season’s end; ranking every team (excluding their own) in a 1-9 format. Each time a coach ranks a school #1 they receive 10 points, 9 for second place and so on.
The defending conference champion Hope International University Royals, were tabbed as the favorites to win the GSAC for a second straight year. The Master’s and Embry-Riddle also received first place votes; four for TMU and two for ERAU. The full results are listed below:
