(Tucson, AZ) Pima Community College softball players Aubrey Marx (Cienega HS) and Belen Camacho (Pueblo HS) produced standout weeks on the diamond during the week of April 13-19 and the ACCAC conference took notice.
Marx, a sophomore outfielder, was named ACCAC Division II Player of the Week as she went 6 for 15 (.400 batting average) with five RBIs, five runs, three doubles and one home run as Pima went 4-0 with wins over South Mountain Community College and Scottsdale Community College.
Marx is batting .424 on the season in 170 at-bats with 56 runs, 41 RBIs, 16 doubles and eight walks.
Camacho, a right-handed pitcher, earned her second nod as ACCAC Division II Pitcher of the Week. She pitched 12 innings, went 2-0 in her starts, giving up two runs (two earned) on eight hits with 13 strikeouts.
Camacho is 8-3 with a 3.52 ERA and 68 strikeouts in 15 appearances this season.
The Aztecs will play their final regular season doubleheader on Tuesday against Phoenix College at the West Campus Aztec Field. First game starts at 12:00 p.m.
