(Aliso Viejo, CA)  Park University Gilbert senior golfer Eli Cruzan was named to the Great Southwest Conference Golf All-Conference team in an announcement by the conference this morning. This is the second consecutive all-conference nod for Cruzan after being named to the Cal Pac All-Conference team last season.

Cruzan finished in third place individually in the conference championships for the second year in a row. This is the third year in a row the Bucs have had a player finish in third place at the conference tournament and the fourth year straight to have a top-five finisher. The Bucs have had two players (3 times) finish in third place which is the best finish in the conference tournament in school history. The other player was Ludvig Nielson in 2023. Park has had a top-5 finisher in the conference tournament in every season in its history.

In his two years in Gilbert. Cruzan became the first Buccaneer to win a tournament when he won the Embry Riddle Fall Invitational in 2023. It also helped the Buccaneers win its first tournament in school history.

In his two seasons, the Bucs have won three tournaments and lost in a playoff in another. The Bucs also had two second place finishes. All unprecedented heights in program history.

This season, Cruzan set a school record for stroke average in the spring season at 72.10.  He also had top-five finishes in all of the tournaments this spring showing he was a model of consistency. He posted three rounds under par and two rounds in the 60’s.

Cruzan has set the standard for future players who come through the program.
