(Irving, TX)  No. 10 Sun Devil Beach Volleyball earned its first Big 12 accolade as junior Daniella Kensinger and sophomore Ava Williamson have been named the Big 12 Beach Volleyball Pair of the Week.

This is the first Big 12 weekly award for the program. For both Kensinger and Williamson, it is their second weekly award in their careers. Both won a Pac-12 Pair of the Week nod last season with different partners.

Playing on the top court, the dynamic duo teamed up to go a perfect 4-0, winning all of their duals in straight sets. Kensinger and Williamson were the only Sun Devils to record a perfect record en route to the team going undefeated at the Cactus Classic in Tucson this past weekend. Arizona State improved its overall record to 5-5, seeing the pair of Williamson and Kensinger secure two ranked wins over No. 18 Grand Canyon and No. 20 Stetson, which would now be the third ranked win for them this season. They also picked up wins against Boise State (RV) and Oregon.

Williamson is closing in on 30 career wins as she currently sits at 29. That makes her good for 16th place in ASU all-time individual wins with a lot of season remaining. Kensinger notched the 24th win in her Sun Devil career. The wins pushed her NCAA individual wins up to 45 between her time at ASU and Saint Mary’s.

The duo will look to stay hot as the Sand Devils will return home and play host to the Sun Devil Classic in Tempe from March 7-8.
