(Tucson, AZ) Pima Community College baseball players Nolan Ganter (Pinnacle HS) and Lucas Casey (Canyon del Oro HS) put together strong performances on the baseball diamond for the week of Jan. 19-25 as the ACCAC conference handed out their first awards of the 2025 season.
Ganter, a sophomore first baseman, was named ACCAC Division II Player of the Week. He went 5 for 13 (.385) with six runs, three RBIs, three doubles, three walks, one home run and one stolen base as the Aztecs swept a four-game series over the College of Southern Idaho.
Casey, a sophomore RHP, was selected ACCAC Division II Pitcher of the Week. He started Sunday’s game against Southern Idaho and pitched five innings, giving up one run (one earned) on no hits with eight strikeouts and four walks as Pima won 8-7. Casey did not get the decision.
The Aztecs will play a four-game series against Colorado Northwestern Community College on Friday and Saturday at the West Campus Aztec Field. Games will begin at noon and 2:30 p.m. on both days.
