Six Join 2025 Sun Devil Volleyball Roster

(Tempe, AZ)  Five transfers and a freshman have signed with Sun Devil Volleyball in the past few weeks, all six joining the team this January to start training for the 2025 season.

The six newcomers are Zoey Burgess (sophomore middle blocker), Faith Frame (sophomore libero), Sydney Henry (senior setter), Ella Lomigora (junior middle blocker),Tatum Parrott (senior outside hitter) and Maila Schnarndorf Ribeiro (freshman libero). Along with fall signees Ella Lewis and Ceci Vance, there are eight new faces on the roster.

“We couldn’t be more excited about this group and what they will add to our program,” said head coach JJ Van Niel. “Each of them is highly skilled and fills a need on our roster, while also being great fits from a culture perspective. With our returners and newcomers, there’s never been a better time to be part of Sun Devil Volleyball, and we can’t wait to get started!”

Tatum Parrott
Senior | Outside Hitter | 6-0 | Phoenix, Ariz. | Grand Canyon

  • Played her first three seasons at Grand Canyon where she set the Lopes’ Division I-era record for kills with 1,233 in her career.
  • In 2023, she earned AVCA and VolleyballMag All-America Honorable Mention nods.
  • She was on the All-WAC First Team in all three of her seasons, GCU’s only three-time all-conference honoree.
  • In 2024, there were only two matches where she did not have double-digit kills and had 20-plus in nine matches. She had 10 double-doubles as well, including when she had her career high of 23 digs.
  • Her career high in kills is 30, which she earned in 2023 against SFA. That season, she notched double-digit kills in all but one match. She had four outings with 20 or more kills and earned six double-doubles.
  • As a freshman in 2022, she had 16 matches with double-digit kills and six double-doubles.
  • Before college, she played at Greenway High School, where she earned numerous honors: two-time 4A State Champion, four-time 4A Skyline Region Champion, three-time 4A First Team All-Conference, three-time 4A Skyline First Team All-Region, two-time 4A Skyline Region Player of the Year, and 4A Skyline Region Offensive Player of the Year.
  • Reached 1,000 kills during junior season and finish career with 1,646 kills
  • Named Prepvolleyball Top 31 National Sophomore and as a freshman was on the Prepvolleyball watch list.
  • Her parents are Chip and Linda Parrott. Linda played volleyball at GCU.
  • She has one older sister named Grace who played volleyball at Yavapai College.


Sydney Henry
Senior | Setter | 5-11 | Sterling, Colo. | University of Missouri-Kansas City

  • Played her first three seasons with the Kansas City Roos, totaling 2,701 assists, 91 aces, 265 kills and 816 digs.
  • Her career high in assists is 56, which she earned in 2023. In her career, she has had 21 matches with more than 40 assists, six with 50-plus. She’s also had 35 double-doubles overall, with a career best in digs of 19 that she reached in 2024.
  • Named to the 2023 First Team All-Summit League and 2023 Summit League All-Tournament Team as a sophomore, when she started all 31 matches and logged 17 double-doubles. That year, the Roos went 22-9.
  • In her freshman year, she played in 30 matches and started seven times. She was second on the team in assists with 4.98 assists per set.
  • Before college, she played high school volleyball at Sterling High School and club for Norco Volleyball.
  • As a sophomore, helped her team win the state championship. Her team was the state runner-up in her junior year.
  • Earned First Team All-Conference Honors and Second Team All-State twice, was Mile High Prep Report 3A Player of the Year as a sophomore, and was an AVCA Phenom Selection.
  • Her parents are Mark and Marci, and she has one sibling, Axel.
  • Her mother Marci is the athletic director at Northeastern Junior College and her father Mark played football at Colorado.


Ella Lomigora
Junior | Middle Blocker | 6-2 | Tempe, Ariz. | Long Beach State

  • Played her first two collegiate seasons at Long Beach State.
  • In 2024, she started all 29 matches in the middle. She had 183 kills (2.27 kills per set), third on the team in total kills. She notched 112 blocks, which was second on the team.
  • She notched double-digit kills five times, with a career high of 13 earned against UC Riverside.
  • In blocks, her career high is 10, which she earned twice, first against Northwestern and then against UC Davis.
  • Named to the 2024 CSC All-Academic Team.
  • As a freshman in 2023, she played in 11 matches, totaling 30 sets on the year.
  • Four-year letterwinner at Corona del Sol High School and played club volleyball at AZ Storm Elite.
  • Helped her team to a state championship in 2022, when she was named the AIA 6A All-Conference Offensive Player of the Year and 6A Central Offensive Player of the Year.
  • In 2022, she was named to the AVCA Phenom and AVCA Volleyball Watchlist. Also that year, she earned AVCA National High School All-Region Team (Region 9) and AVCA All-America Girls HIgh School Second Team.
  • Named the 2021 AIA 6A Central First Team and Player of the Year, in addition to All-Region 6A Central First Team.
  • In academics, she excelled as well, being named to the 2022 AVCA Volleyball Best and Brightest First Team and a PrepVolleyball Academic All-American. In 2020-21, she also earned an AVCA Academic Excellence Award.
  • Her parents are Senad and Mirela and she has an older sister named Mia.


Zoey Burgess
Sophomore | Middle Blocker | 6-3 | Lehi, Utah | Kansas

  • Played her freshman season at Kansas in 2024, playing in 39 sets.
  • She totaled 65 kills with a .328 clip and 30 blocks.
  • Named the 2024 Preseason Big 12 Freshman of the Year.
  • After four years at Lone Peak High School, Burgess posted a decorated career of being a four-time state champion as well as the 6A MVP.
  • 2023 Utah Gatorade Player of the Year.
  • AVCA First Team All-American.
  • She played club ball for Club V, and during her stint was named the 15’s American MVP.
  • During her prep career, she was invited to multiple NTDP training events.
  • Her parents are Chris and Lesa and she has four siblings: Kelli Jo, Ava, Beckham and Zachary.
  • Her father Chris is currently on the staff for BYU men’s basketball. He played basketball at Duke and Utah, playing professionally for 11 years after college. Her mother Lesa played soccer at Utah.
  • Her older sister Kelli Jo is currently playing volleyball at Oklahoma.


Faith Frame
Sophomore | Libero | 5-7 | Gretna, Neb. | Cincinnati

  • Spent her freshman year at Cincinnati, playing in all 29 matches.
  • Named to the 2024 Big 12 All-Rookie Team after earning four Big 12 Rookie of the Week nods.
  • Totaled 435 digs (4.10 digs/set), and had 21 matches with double-digit digs.
  • Her career high was 29 digs, which she earned against Arizona. She had six matches with 20-plus digs.
  • Before college, she earned 2023 AVCA Girls High School Second Team All-America honors.
  • 2023 Omaha World Herald First Team All-Nebraska, First Team Class A All-State and First Team All-Metro.
  • 2023 Lincoln Journal Star Super-State First Team and Class A First Team All-State.
  • Ranked No. 1 in Class A with 618 digs in 2023, breaking the school record. She also shattered the school record for digs in a single match with 42.
  • Played at Papillion La Vista High School and in club volleyball for Premier Nebraska.
  • Her parents are Tim and Keely, and she has a sister Ensley, who played softball at Creighton.


Maila Schnarndorf Ribeiro
Freshman | Libero | 5-6 | CEL | Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

  • Member of Brazil’s junior national team.
  • She was named the best libero for the national championships for both U21 and U19.
  • South America U20 Champion.
  • National Championship U15 Champion and two-time champion of U16 State.
  • Took second place in the South American U19 Championship, as well as the U20 and U18 National Championships.
  • Also won two beach volleyball championships, with a second-place finish as well.
  • Her parents are Alexandre and Susana and she has two older siblings Kaillani and Kaipo.
  • She comes from an athletic family. Her dad was a professional triathlete and her mom was a professional paralympic swimmer.
  • Her brother Kaillani played soccer and did track and field at Notre Dame College in Ohio.
