Tucson, AZ – The Pima Community College men’s soccer team (8-2) had its eight-game winning streak snapped on Thursday in Prescott.
The No. 5 ranked Aztecs fell to Yavapai College 3-1.
The Aztecs tied the game at 1-1 when freshman Alec Nguyen (Sahuaro HS) scored in the 28th minute with an assist from freshman Ricky Gordillo (Maya HS). The Roughriders (7-3) scored two unanswered goals in the second half.
Sophomore David Silva finished the game with five saves.
The Aztecs will return to Kino North Stadium on Saturday to start the second half of the regular season. They will host Arizona Western College at 4:30 p.m. The Aztecs fell to the Matadors 1-0 in overtime to start the season.
