(Tucson, AZ) Vamos A Tucson Mexican Baseball Fiesta is back in Tucson for the 13th year. We return to Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium on Thursday October 3 – 6. The Fiesta is presented by Visit Tucson, Vantage West, and Modelo.
The Liga Arco Mexicana del Pacifico’s (Mexican Winter Baseball League) version of “Spring Training” will feature the most LAMP teams in MBF history. They are the Naranjeros de Hermosillo, Yaquis de Obregon, Aguilas de Mexicali, Mayos de Navojoa, Charros de Jalisco, and Algodoneros de Guasave. The Arizona Wildcats will play in the second game on Thursday in a nine-inning game against Hermosillo.
The party continues with a great music lineup being headlined by cumbio group Tropicalisimo Apache on Friday and the always popular Sonoran group La Brissa on Sunday night. The remainder of the music lineup is listed below. Other promotional highlights include a first pitch by Wildcats head basketball coach Tommy Lloyd prior to the second game on Thursday (he might be joined by former Wildcat great Terry Francona); Vantage West Family Night on Friday; a HR Derby between LAMP players on Saturday; and the giveaway of a brand new 2024 GMC Terrain donated by Quebedeaux Buick / GMC ($33,000 value). Some lucky fan will leave Kino Stadium on Saturday night with the keys!!
Tickets are on sale online for all games in Tucson at www.MexicanBaseballFiesta.com or in person at the ticket office at Kino Stadium. Ticket prices are box seats $25, adult general admission tickets $20, and tickets for children 6-16 and seniors are $10, under 6 are free.
