(Nashville, TN) It was a third-straight win for No. 17 Sun Devil Volleyball on Sunday after beating Cal Baptist in straight sets (25-6, 25-18, 25-13) to win the LUV Invitational.

Arizona State (3-0) went undefeated at the LUV Invitational after beating Cal Baptist (0-3) in the first meeting between these two teams.
The offense was rolling for ASU, hitting a blistering .479, the second-best in program history. The Sun Devils also held the Lancers to a .024 clip.
Graduate outside hitter Shania Cromartie led the offense today, collecting 10 kills and hitting .381. Her kill total is her best since she has been at ASU (this is her second season in Tempe).
Three Sun Devils had seven kills in the win: graduates Claire Jeter and Roberta Rabelo and senior Geli Cyr.
Graduate middle blocker Savannah Kjolhede added five kills as well as her team-high three blocks and two aces.
Leading the defense was graduate libero Mary Shroll with 14 digs. She notched double-digit digs in every match this weekend. She also added two aces today.
Graduate setter Argentina Ung had 32 assists, six digs and two aces for a balanced performance.
Set One: ASU 25, CBU 6
The Sun Devils opened up a big lead to start the match after scoring eight in a row with Cyr at the service line, taking a 10-2 advantage. Five-consecutive points for ASU pushed the lead to 16-4, a run that saw two kills from Rabelo. Shroll served Arizona State to a run of five to make it 21-5, serving up an ace in the process.Two errors from Cal Baptist completed the first set win for the Sun Devils, 25-6. Arizona State hit .700 this frame.
Set Two: ASU 25, CBU 18
The second frame started closer. Kjolhede had back-to-back aces to make it 6-3 for ASU. The Lancers got within one at 8-7, but the Sun Devils started to slowly pull away. A 3-0 run with a kill from Rabelo and ace from Shroll pushed the advantage to 19-14. Three-straight Sun Devil kills from Cyr, Kjolhede and Cromartie finished the set, 25-18.
Set Three: ASU 25, CBU 13
Arizona State started the second set trailing after an early 4-0 run for Cal Baptist to go up 4-1. However, four in a row later with Jillian Neal at the service line put the Sun Devils back up 7-6, a run that saw an ace from Neal and kills from Cyr and Jeter. ASU scored 10-straight points with Ung serving to extend the lead to 22-11. A kill from Cyr completed the sweep, 25-13.
