(Tucson, AZ) The Pima Community College women’s track & field team closed out the 2024 season on Saturday in the final day of competition at the NJCAA Division I National Championships.
The Aztecs finished in 24th place out of 35 teams in the final standings with 9.33 points.
Sophomore Tianna Moseley took eighth place in the Triple Jump with a jump of 11.94 meters (39-feet, 2.25-inches). She became a two-time NJCAA All-American in the event as she took fourth place at the NJCAA Indoor National Championships. Her season-best was at 12.35 meters (40-6.25) that she set at the Willie Williams Invitational.
Other Pima finishes in the final day at the NJCAA Division I National Championships:
- Bella Hofmann (Campo Verde HS) – 13th place in Triple Jump 10.61 meters (34-9.75).
- Maylee Thompson (Willcox HS) – 16th place in Javelin 33.39 meters (109-6).
- Trinity Bethea (Pinon HS) – 22nd place in 400 meters 57.88.
- Tristin Duron (Marana HS) – 23rd place in 400 meters 58.14.
NJCAA Division I Outdoor National Championship All-Americans:
- Morgan Pepe (Ironwood Ridge HS) – 2nd place in Pole Vault 3.82 meters (12-6.25).
- April Necaise – T-8th place in High Jump 1.63 meters (5-4.25).
- Tianna Moseley – 8th place in Triple Jump 11.94 meters (39-2.25).
The Aztecs set five new Pima school records and finished with a total of six NJCAA All-Americans between the 2024 Indoor and Outdoor seasons.
