Aztecs women’s soccer hold of Glendale CC to even record

The Pima Community College women’s soccer team (2-2) held off a rally from Glendale Community College (0-4) on Saturday.

The Aztecs scored a season-high four goals as they defeated the Gauchos 4-2. They led 3-2 at halftime.

Kylee Martin (Sahuaro HS), Sabrina Zepp (Tucson HS), Annalisa Verdugo (Pueblo HS) and Wendy Mendoza (Pueblo HS) netted goals for the Aztecs. Sophomore goalkeeper Mackenzie Bernal (Tanque Verde HS) and freshman Haven Chambers (Walden Grove HS) each had one save.

The Aztecs will hit the road on Tuesday when they play GateWay Community College at the Rose Mofford Sports Complex in Phoenix.
