Camila Zepeda named ACCAC Player of the Year as six Softball players named to All-Conference and All-Region teams

(Tucson, AZ)  The Pima Community College softball team was well-represented as the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference selected its All-ACCAC and All-Region teams.

Sophomore infielder Camila Zepeda (Tucson Magnet HS) was named ACCAC Player of the Year, first team All-ACCAC and All-Region I, Division I.
Zepeda led the Aztecs in at-bats (164), runs (66), hits (80), doubles (20), home runs (16), RBIs (61) and steals (14). She batted .488 with a slugging percentage of .915 in 49 games played and had a fielding percentage of .936. Zepeda hit mainly out of the No. 3 spot in the batting order this season. She was tied for first in the ACCAC in RBIs, tied for second in home runs and third in batting average.

Freshman LHP Jazmyne Waddell (San Manuel HS) was selected first team All-ACCAC and to the All-Region I, Division I team.
Waddell hit .361 in 108 at-bats with eight home runs, 42 RBIs, 23 runs scored, 10 doubles, and six walks. She led the Aztecs in innings pitched with 67.1 innings logged, going 11-1 with a 3.85 ERA with 41 strikeouts and 27 walks in 16 appearances. She earned four Conference of the Week awards; three for ACCAC Division I Pitcher of the Week and one ACCAC Division I Player of the Week honor.

Sophomore RHP Alexis Tsosie-Hood (Gallup HS, NM) from Window Rock, AZ, was named second team All-ACCAC and All-Region I, Division I.
She pitched 60.2 innings in 10 appearances, going 8-1 with a 3.00 ERA. Tsosie-Hood had 55 strikeouts and gave up just seven walks. She hit .265 in 34 at-bats with two homers, eight RBIs, six runs and three walks.

Freshman Talia Martin (Mountain View HS) was selected second team All-ACCAC and to the All-Region I, Division I team.
Martin, an outfielder and catcher, hit .370 in 138 at-bats with six home runs, 27 RBIs, 49 runs scored, 14 doubles, two triples, 30 walks and four steals in 44 games played. She mainly hit out of the lead-off spot in the batting order. Martin finished with a fielding percentage of .963 with 25 put outs on 27 total chances.

Freshman Aubrey Marx (Cienega HS) was also named second team All-ACCAC and All-Region I, Division I.
Marx, an outfielder, batted .413 in 155 at-bats with two homers, 38 RBIs, 44 runs scored, 15 doubles, three triples, eight walks and two stolen bases in 45 games played. She hit out of the No. 2 spot in the batting order this season. She had 41 put outs in 45 total chances and finished with a .956 fielding percentage.

Sophomore catcher Mallory Zylinski-Wrobel (Sahuarita HS) is now a two-time All-ACCAC conference player as she was selected to the third team. She was named second team All-ACCAC in 2023.
Zylinski-Wrobel batted .364 in 107 at-bats with six home runs, 33 RBIs, 25 runs, six doubles and 13 walks in 41 games played. She had 156 put outs in 161 total chances with five assists and finished with a flawless fielding percentage of 1.000.

The No. 2 seeded Aztecs will start off the Region I, Division I Tournament on Friday against No. 3 Arizona Western College. Game time is set for 9:00 a.m.
