(San Ramon, CA) On Tuesday, the Pac-12 Conference announced its 2024 women’s lacrosse All-Conference honorees, which is highlighted by three members of Sun Devil Lacrosse. Defender Zoe Mazur was named to the first team while attackers Mina Scott and Lydia Oldknow each picked up second team honors.
This is the first All-Conference honor for each of the three Arizona State student-athletes selected. They join a group of 15 All-Conference honorees in program history.
Per the Pac-12, the All-Conference teams were selected as follows: The All-Conference team shall consist of 12 first team and 12 second team members. Coaches shall rank their top 30 choices, indicating their first choice with 30 points, their second with 29 points, etc. The players having the highest point totals by position (4 attackers, 3 midfielders, 4 defenders, 1 goalie) shall be named to the All-Conference first team and the next 12, regardless of position, will be named to the All-Conference second team.
Pac-12 All-Conference First Team: Zoe Mazur, Sr. Defender, South Portland, Maine
Mazur has had a season for the record books with the Sun Devils, and was named the Pac-12’s Defensive Player of the Week for the final week of the regular season just yesterday. Mazur has tallied 140 draw controls this season which is a single-season record in program history. She’s seen seven games with 10+ draw controls and owns the program’s single-game draw control record with 14, which came earlier this season against Detroit Mercy. She has totaled 303 draw controls while wearing the Maroon & Gold, and is one of three players in the Pac 12 with 300+ draw controls. Mazur is one of 20 active players in the NCAA with 300+ draw controls, and has done so in just 60 games.
Pac-12 All-Conference Second Team: Mina Scott, Sr. Attacker, Kennett Square, Pennsylvania
Senior attacker Mina Scott put up career numbers in the final season of her Sun Devil career. Her 42 goals are tied with Lydia Oldknow for a team high, and is also a single-season high for Scott. In 2024, she recorded a career-high six goals against UC Davis in the win that secured a berth in the Pac-12 Tournament, which led her to picking up her first-ever Pac-12 weekly honor. Scott’s six goals were good for her 7th hat trick of the season. Her eight points (6G-2A) in the matchup was a career high and are the most by a Sun Devil in a game this season.
With her free position goal against the Aggies, she’s made 13 this season which is the second most in a single season in program history. In the single-season record books, Scott’s 52 goals are fifth most, and her 57 points are eighth most. Career-wise, the senior’s 90 goals sits at fifth all-time, with 24 assists and 114 points both at sixth in their respective category. She is one of six Sun Devils with 100+ career points.
Pac-12 All-Conference Second Team: Lydia Oldknow, So. Attacker, Ashburn, Virginia
Sophomore attacker Lydia Oldknow led the team in goals nearly all season, and is tied with Scott for the team-lead with 42. Her 59 points leads the team. The sophomore had a team-high nine hat tricks this season, and surpassed her 2023 goal total (17) in just seven games this season. She has started every game for the Sun Devils this season, and has also scored a goal in every game.
In the single-season record books, Oldknow’s 42 goals are fifth, her 17 assists are 11th, and her 59 points is tied with Kerri Clayton for sixth. Career-wise, her 59 goals checks in at seventh while her 24 saves have her at sixth. She’s totaled 83 points in her two short years at ASU, which is seventh all time.
The Sun Devil trio will be representing ASU tomorrow, May 1 in Los Angeles, California in the first round of the Pac-12 Tournament against the fifth seeded Oregon Ducks. Arizona State is looking to improve on 2023’s 4th place finish.
