(Gilbert, AZ) Park University Gilbert third baseman Nick Miller was selected as the California Pacific Conference Player of the Week for the Week of April 8-14. This is the second time a Buccaneer hitter has been selected as the player of the week this season joining Andrew Allanson.
Miller had a spectacular week slashing .636 (7-11)/.714/.818 with three runs scored and two doubles in three games vs. Providence Christian. His 1.532 OPS was his best of the season in a conference series. He also had three walks and a .778 batting average on balls in play (BABIP).
He went 2-4 in the first game against the Sea Beggars with a double and followed it up the next day with two runs scored, two walks and a 1-3 day at the plate.
He finished the weekend series going 4-4 with a run scored an RBI and a walk in the Bucs series clinching 10-0 win.
On the season, Miller is hitting .337 with three home runs and 22 RBI. He has scored 25 runs and has a .912 OPS. He has 20 walks and 10 stolen bases.
