The Bucs are nine shots off the lead held by Benedictine Mesa. The Bucs trailed by seven after day one.

The Bucs were led by Eli Cruzan who shot a second round even par 72 to move into a tie for fourth place. Cruzan shot three-under on the front side with five birdies and two bogeys. The backside was a little more up and down for the junior who had two birdies. three bogeys and a double bogey to shoot three-over for the final nine holes.

Freshman Riley Wortman shot a two-over 74 with two birdies two bogey and a double bogey. For both Cruzan and Wortman, the par-4 12th hole was the bane of the round as both players doubled the hole.

Freshman Jax Sisson who was the Bucs low scorer on day one, shot a four-over 76. Sisson had a solid front nine, shooting one-under. But the backside saw a triple bogey and two bogeys for Sisson.

Sophomore Noah Blaickner, who has three top-10 finishes this spring also shot a two over 74. His round included three birdies and five bogeys.

The Bucs will have to go low tomorrow if they want to overcome the nine stroke deficit and they also have to deal with defending champion Embry Riddle who is also nine shots off the pace. Third round pairings and tee times have yet to be announced. The Bucs will be in the final three groups of teams who will have a chance to win the tournament and earn a NAIA Championship berth.
